(PHOENIX) Right after Arizona Independent Party candidate for Governor Hugh Lytle hands in his nominating petitions on March 20th, he will use the occasion to call on Katie Hobbs to stop suppressing the vote and reject an anti-independent bill and

related lawsuit.

Lytle has a March 20th 10am appointment at the Arizona Secretary of State’s office to

hand in his nominating signatures.

Once that is done, Lytle will be available for interviews at 10:30am to talk about how the Democrat and Republican establishment are teaming up to trample Arizona voting rights.

The interviews will take place outside the Executive Tower west entrance near 18th Avenue between Adams and Jefferson.

SB 1609 would prevent the Arizona Independent Party from calling itself the Arizona Independent Party. Both Democrats and Republicans are pushing the anti-voter legislation and a related lawsuit.

Lytle said, “I will not stand by and let this voter suppression go on any longer. Our path to victory will not be blocked by ridiculous partisan ploys. They may try and change the name of the Arizona Independent Party, but they can’t change the will of the Arizona voter who is fed up with a state government that does nothing but bicker while voters suffer.”

Both Democrats and Republicans in Arizona have excelled at voter suppression.

Republican candidate for Governor Andy Biggs, doing President Trump’s bidding, voted to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

Democrat Katie Hobbs caved to lobbyists and signed a bill that prevents Arizona voters from putting controversial zoning issues on the ballot such as a massive apartment complex in Scottsdale.

Lytle added, “Andy Biggs and Katie Hobbs seem to have forgotten about voting rights. Let’s send them a message on election day and remind them who is in charge.”
